works perfectly. could be charged at least x5 the price. very highly recommended to retrieve skye chat
You can search single chats, but not over all chats. the UI is tricky but ok. need a lot improvement. instead of its own ui it could simply export the chats in the background and feed them to spotlight … that would be handy.
Does what it says. Loads very large (10,000+ messages) chats very quickly. I wish it also showed where calls began and ended, and there could be more options for exporting, but overall a good, useful app.
Doesn’t do what is expected. You can’t open/read past chat logs. The UI is very primitive and there is absolutely NO SUPPORT AVAILABLE. It’s worth 0/5. This is a good way of making money without delivering anything usefull.

it has ZERO.ZERO happening within the app. It honestly, (as I swear on the holy bible) is almost as if I was on candid camer and when i open the app for the first time and finally realize that I was punked because it is so horrible. THERE IS NOTHING BUT A BLANK SCREEN!!!!!! ENJOY THAT FOUR DOLLARS, I HOPE YOU BUY CIGGERATES WITH THE CASH SO AT LEAST YOU WILL FEEL MY PAIN. IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS WHAT A JOKE
The app does what it says. Two requests... 1. Include the timestamp of each message when exporting. 2. Could it work from the command line, as well? Something like skychatviewer --contact "Bobby" outputfile.txt
Works great - skype should have this built in.
This really should be built into skype, but for $2, it has saved me tons of time.
On Mountain Lion I am running into an issue where looking through Skype Instant Message History causes the CPU to be pegged at 100% for longer than I care to wait. I wish I could say it was because my hardware is older but I am on the latest Macbook Pro with 16GB of RAM. Anyhow downloading this application now provides me a method to search Skype Chat History quickly and without seeing any CPU spike. Easily worth the $2 required to download if you are seeing a similar issue to me.
I am attempting to format Skype chatsync logs created on an iPod Touch (4th generation) running iOS 6.0.1 and the APP does not work at all. The error messages indicate the APP is unable to format the logs. DO NOT PURCHASE THE SkyChatViewer APP! The APP writer should immediately update the APP, offer a refund or fix for customers who purchased it, and update the APP documentation to accurately describe which versions of Skype the APP may work with. The SkyChatViewer Support link takes users to a webpage with NO information except a link that returns to the APP store. The person responsible for SkyChatViewer deliberately ommitted their contact information and there is NO way to request a refund for this worthless APP. Apple should not permit APP writers to accept payment unless they have provided verified contact information. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APP!!!
This app used to work really well and now it doesnt work at all since I upgraded my OS on my Mac Mini Server with 10.7.5. It also does not have upgrade features that are standards for Mac. Until a patch is created by the author, I would not purchase this application.
Simple as that. It doesnt work. Nothing I can do to make it work. Nothing…. Don’t bother wasting your money on an app that opens, shows you a blank screen, and nothing else. Do you not pride yourself in your code? Guess not…no one would be proud of this.
It actually does work.
Make sure you quit out of Skype before opening it up, though! Dont know what everyones talking about down there--it works great.
I purchased this hesitantly after reading the reviews, but to my relief it worked. I will say, one thing that could be a good feature is support for Group chats.
